SarahPAC: Support Principled Leaders

sarahpac-photo-4-29-2013-sm-1200dpi

1200-dpi scan of 8 x 10 autographed photo of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s Liberty Pose at CPAC, which accompanied a fund-raising letter to mid-range donors

Ed. Note: The following letters were sent via Postal Mail by SarahPAC. Every attempt has been made to reproduce them as faithfully as possible to their original formatting.

Though not requested in these letters and not authorized by SarahPAC, now is a good time to bundle a small-donor money bomb with this. Imagine if half of the over 3.5 million supporters on Gov. Palin’s Facebook page donated just $2. SarahPAC would raise $3.5 million minus transaction fees. If half these supporters donated just $5, SarahPAC could have $8.75 million. With $10 donations, half of the supporters on Gov. Palin’s Facebook wall could generate $17.5 million for SarahPAC. Though this fund-raising letter is geared toward mid-range donors, donations of any amount will help SarahPAC and make a big difference.

SarahPAC-North-Star

Dear [Donor],

Last month at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) outside Washington, DC, Gov. Palin brought the house down.

During her speech, she paused for a moment, pulled out a “Big Gulp” soda pop, and took a nice long drink.

The crowd went wild.

As she put it, “Oh, Bloomberg’s not around. Our Big Gulp’s are okay. Shoot, it’s just pop with low-cal ice cubes in it. I hope that’s okay.”

It was such a great moment.

A wonderful illustration of how absolutely ridiculous the liberals have become in their efforts to have the government run every aspect of our lives.

And as one of SarahPAC’s generous supporters, I want you to have this exclusive photo of that special moment.

After the speech, some even called it the “Palin Liberty Pose” saying Gov. Palin looked like the Statue of Liberty as she held her Big Gulp aloft.

But if you know Gov. Palin, you know it’s never about her. It’s about this great country you and I love.

And that’s what Sarah talked about during her speech:

If “Believe in America” is more than just a catchy campaign slogan, then we have to believe in America’s exceptionalism, and her greatest achievement that no one is guaranteed success but everyone is guaranteed an equal opportunity at success.

The greatest lie that the government tells is that government is the way to realize this guarantee. There is a simple reason why Washington, DC is an island of prosperity in a nation mired in near recession. Whenever government expands, it’s the well-connected that reap the benefit. The more government intrudes into our lives and businesses, the more it picks winners and losers.

The more crony capitalists win, the more the rest of us lose. Whether it’s green energy or free Obama phones or prophylactics, if you don’t have a team of lobbyists in DC or a canceled contribution check, you’re not at the table – you’re on the menu.

As you know, [Donor], our goal here at SarahPAC is to put an end to this big government, crony capitalism approach by electing principled leaders who will stand for freedom.

People like Sen. Ted Cruz, who’s been doing an amazing job in Washington and introduced Gov. Palin at CPAC by stating: “I would not be a Senator today if it weren’t for Sarah Palin.”

[Donor], Ted Cruz can say that because of you.

It’s your support for SarahPAC that allows Gov. Palin to have such an impact on political races.

And, my friend, we’re just getting started.

Gov. Palin concluded her remarks at CPAC with this:

I have been so blessed to spend so much of these past years getting to know even more of America, not from the top down, but from the heart looking out.

And this I know, there is more wisdom, more character, more grit and common sense in the soldiers and the Mom’s and the teacher’s and the laborers and the firemen and the fishermen and the students and the cowboys – and other extraordinary Americans that I’ve met along the way, than will ever be found in the cocktail parties of power across the river.

And if “We the People” have one message to send to Washington, I’m sure it would be this: Get Over Yourself. It’s not about you.

Isn’t that the truth!

It’s not about the consultants and pollsters and power brokers who think they know so much.

It’s about America. And freedom. And liberty. And principles. And the Constitution.

[Donor], I’ve said this before, but let me just say it once again.

The Left wants to elect people who will help Barack Obama “fundamentally transform America.”

We want to elect people who will “fundamentally transform the way Washington does business.”

Leaders who will put:

*** real people over petty politics

*** strong principles over empty promises

***and foundational ideals over self interests

Will you continue to help us, [Donor]?

Can I count on you to continue standing with Governor Palin and SarahPAC?

Will you renew your support today by sending a contribution of $100, $150, or even $200?

Whether $100, $150, $200, or any other amount, every dollar you can send will make a real difference as Governor Palin and our entire SarahPAC team work to elect a new generation of conservative leaders.

Leaders who will stand against the big government, big spending, crony capitalists in BOTH parties.

Thanks in advance for your generosity and faithfulness. And thanks for standing with Gov. Palin for liberty and freedom!

Sincerely,

Tim Crawford Signature

SarahNET Radio Host on Gov Palin, Political Parties, Issues, Elections

In describing his interview with Anita Finlay and John Smart, Kevin Scholla, host, SarahNET Radio wrote,

I recently had the privilege of being a guest on Finlay And Smart Talk, hosted by Anita Finlay and John Smart. Anita, best known for her time on The Young And The Restless, is also the author of a very popular book on Hillary Clinton. Though our political views differ, Anita is always very gracious and really, a wonderful person. We covered a myriad of issues while talking a great deal about Sarah Palin. I was originally scheduled to be on the program for the first half, but since our conversation was so lively, Anita and John kept me on for the entire episode. They didn’t even take any calls because our banter was non-stop. Nothing was off limits. We discuss the divide in the Republican party, the fiscal cliff, abortion, gay marriage, media bias, and much more. I think you will enjoy this spirited interview. It was an honor to be a guest on the show and to be able to speak about Governor Palin.

Gov. Palin: True Conservative

In this wide-ranging interview, Scholla said Democrats tend to rally behind their nominees, whereas Republicans do not and if a conservative wins nomination, he has to “kiss the ring of the Republican establishment.”

When asked about what constitutes a true conservative, Scholla said it’s not just fiscal, but the entire package. He said former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin typifies the “people we need and the phrase here is ‘common-sense conservative’….you look at a lot of the people backed by Gov. Palin – Ted Cruz, who’s just been elected to the U.S. Senate out of Texas really is going to become the leader of this movement.” He continued, “We have a Deb Fischer out of Nebraska – a rancher who came out of nowhere in the primaries to win the U.S. Senate seat. As far as re-elected, there’s Rep. Paul Gosar out of Arizona, someone to keep an eye on in Washington. Also, Jeff Flake, who was a Congressman and is now a U.S. Senator from Arizona.”

Who works for who?

He said most politicians only care about reelection and quoted Gov. Palin’s “polls are for strippers and cross-country skiers,” from her crony capitalism speech in Indianola, Iowa. Scholla said these public servants think we work for them largely because of voter apathy. “For every one person who cares so much about our country, there’s so many who have no idea of what is going on right under their noses.

Why Romney Lost

In discussing the 2012 election, Scholla said most Palinistas voted for Romney, but there was a general lack of enthusiasm for him. Scholla said many voters stayed home and many did not see enough of a difference between Romney and Obama. He cited Reagan’s Bold Colors speech and also said people were not voting for Romney as much as they were voting against Obama.

Scholla said Gov. Palin was kept out of the Republican Convention. He said she was like a rock star at CPAC and has a 95% name recognition. He said Romney was a good man surrounded by hacks who feel threatened by powerful women – hacks who had been around for 20 years. But, he acknowledged later on that Romney lost in part because “he has been on every side of every issue.”

Leftist, Elitist Hypocrisy with Women and Minorities

He spoke at length about the hypocrisy of Democrats who are for women and minorities – as long as said women and minorities are Democrats, but even then Democratic women are not safe. Finlay recounted being called a racist for supporting Hillary Clinton. He spoke also about the clash between conservatives and elitist Republicans typified by Charles Krauthammer and George Will – both of whom have said flippant things about Gov. Palin.

Bold Colors or New Party?

“Something has to give,” Scholla said outlining two options. The GOP going back to its roots as Ronald Reagan advocated over 37 years ago in his Bold Colors speech is one. The second option is a powerful national third party as Gov. Palin’s brother, Chuck Heath, Jr. advocated in a series of Facebook posts this week, which where picked up by Bloomberg News, Huffington Post, and WorldNet Daily. Scholla said if someone like Gov. Palin were to found and lead such a party, “you could see an election that could go 30%, 33%, 29%, something along those lines, where a third party could pull it off.”

Gov. Palin’s Relevance in the Future

On Gov. Palin’s relevance moving forward, Scholla said,

“We’ll find out and it will be her decision. I’m not one of those ‘Draft Sarah Palin’ people. I want her to do what she wants to do. Now…who was more disappointed than me when she said she wasn’t going to run in 2012? Not many. I really wanted her to run. I thought it was her chance for really being the opposite of the incumbent. That said, I respected her decision right away. Look, she has five children, two of them adults now, but still five kids. She has a lot to take care of and she also went through a lot – as you know – and continues to – with the way things are thrown at her – and not just her: her husband, her family, her parents. The way they are just – you know – just attacked all the time from the left, from the media.”

Finlay asked Scholla if he thought the reason Gov. Palin did not run was the mainstream media “irrevocably poisoning the well” for enough of the public that a Presidential run would have been impossible to win. Scholla responded:

“I don’t think so as far as it being irrevocable. Would she have won this past season? I don’t know. Was that a factor in her decision? I don’t know. But, America loves “the comeback kid” as you know and that’s another thing. After a while, you keep getting beat down as she does and she is still out there smiling and giving her perspective proudly and without trepidation – people say ‘now that I think about it…she’s been proven right on so many things that were laughed at when they were first said – death panels, things of that nature – but we’ll see where she goes, if she runs for President. A lot of people think she may run for Senate.”

On the debt, Scholla said that Republicans are going along to get along. Meanwhile, Gov. Palin said we went off the fiscal cliff already and it was just a matter of how hard the thud would be when we hit bottom.

Finlay said just as there are disgruntled conservatives who want a third party, there are disgruntled Democrats who similarly want one. But, both Finlay and Smart are moderate on social issues. They were horrified by Akins’ “legitimate rape” fiasco. They asked Scholla if he could vote for or support a fiscally conservative third party that was moderate on social issues. Scholla said that Sarah Palin and other prominent conservatives and Republicans told Akins to step down. Gov. Palin had endorsed Sarah Steelman, who was the far better candidate. Akins ran even though he had no chance of winning. He said most conservatives would not – and should not – accept the type of party Finlay and Smart proposed.

Chicago Bears Co-Owner Talks Faith, Sports on SarahNET Radio

Pat McCaskey is the guest on The Palin Radio Update with Kevin Scholla! McCaskey, co-owner of the Chicago Bears talks to Kevin about faith and sports and his involvement in Sports Faith International. McCaskey also looks back at the great faith of his grandfather, ‘Papa Bear’ George Halas and he addresses how pro teams get along despite having so many differing views on politics and religion. For more information please visit Catholic Speakers Bureau. Also, Governor Sarah Palin talks about TIME Magazine’s selection of Barack Obama for Person of the Year. Plus, SarahNET Radio’s Steel Resolve, our weekly commentary is featured. Martha Zoller, who was endorsed by Sarah Palin during her 2012 run for Congress in Georgia is this week’s guest commentator.

The Apostles as Football Players

On how faith and sports interwine, McCaskey said, “If the Apostles would have been football players, they would have been a great team. Peter would have been the quarterback. Andrew, his brother would have been playing catch in the backyard. Andrew could have been a receiver. James, the son of Zebedee and his brother John were known as the Sons of Thunder. They would have been the running backs.”

He continued, “we don’t know much about Philip and Bartholemew, James, the son of Alpheus, Thaddeus, and Simon the Cananaean, so they would have been the linemen. Doubting Thomas would always be encouraging his teammates to play harder. He would have been a middle linebacker. If Mike Singletary had been an Apostle, the other Apostles wouldn’t have slept in the Garden of Gethsemane.”

In completing his Apostles analogy, McCaskey said, “Matthew the tax collector was used to dealing with money. Let’s put him at end like George Halas. Matthias – replaced Judas – would have been the kicker. Paul would have been the writer like me. He wrote a lot of letters, even though the Corinthians were the only ones who ever wrote back.”

Tebow Should be Linebacker; Faith a Major Part of Bears History

McCaskey said Tim Tebow is mocked because he “is a great leader who should be playing linebacker and is simply in the wrong position….He doesn’t have a good touch on his passes.” He said the Bears and other teams in other sports have mass and chapel services before games, both home and away. He recounted how his grandfather used to work in the office at 55 East Jackson catty cornered from St. Mary’s church on Wabash and Van Buren. Halas would go to confession and mass there, and say his penance at his desk. The TV Miniseries Jesus of Nazareth premiered in 1977 and McCaskey invited Halas to watch the final installment at a Christmas dinner. He said Halas “did not talk about his faith much, but he lived it very well.”

Chicago Bears greats who were men of faith include Bill Wade, quarterback from 1961 to 1966, and the quarterback’s coach in 1967. He published a track, “Quarterback for Christ” in 1962. He turned the name, “Christ” into an acronym: Confidence, Humility, Respect, Intelligence, Sincerity, and Truth.

He said faith improves athletes, because “God does not grade on a curve,” and we are expected to do the best we can do.

Bears Teammates and Staff Respect Each Others’ Views

Scholla asked how players of different religions and political views remain tight and if these subjects come up in the locker room. He cited Mike Ditka who introduced Gov. Palin at a rally in Latrobe, PA in 2008 and Jay Cutler’s support of Romney this past election. McCaskey said the Bears’ coaches, players and staff are respectful of each other’s religious and political views.

Scholla asked McCaskey, “how’s mom?” She works out three days a week, eats for nutrition and goes to church. Scholla had met McCaskey’s mother previously and described how he and his family have been Bears fans since an early age.

McCaskey can booked for a speech at http://cmgbooking.com and he founded http://sportsfaithinternational.com/.

Martha Zoller, Steel Resolve: Obama Out of Touch

This week, former congressional candidate for GA-9, Martha Zoller substituted for Sarah Steelman. Zoller said Obama and his administration is out of touch with America, because he issued an executive order lifting the pay freeze on federal employees. “Though the .5% pay raise doesn’t sound like much, it’s an increase all the same at a time when we don’t have the money,” Zoller said. “If the feds were a company, they’d be bankrupt,” Zoller continued, adding that the federal balance sheet is a shell game where money is robbed from Iraq and Afghanistan savings and the practice is called a “spending cut.”

Biden made $225,000 last year. The pay increase brings his earnings up to $232,000. She said when we’re approaching a fiscal cliff and have not had a budget in nearly four years, the President has the gall to sign a pay increase into law. Zoller urged listeners to call their Representatives and Senators and urge them to pass legislation rescinding this pay increase. Obama says it’s “only” $500 million. But over a ten-year period, it will be more than $11 billion. Zoller reiterated he support of legislation to the effect that legislators don’t get a paycheck if they don’t balance the budget.

American Grizzlies Launches Survey of Non-Romney Voters

When addressing Young Americans for Freedom in 1975, former President Ronald Wilson Reagan said,

“Some have suggested that the 1974 election – the disastrous results – were an indictment of what we stand for. Well, may I suggest that the meaning of the last election will not be found among those who voted. It will be found in my polling those who stayed home – the biggest non-voter bloc in our nation’s history. And why did they stay home?”

It is well-known that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan got 2.3 million less votes than John McCain and Sarah Palin did in 2008. Pundits have speculated about the reasons why, but there is no hard data to support their assertions.

This survey is an attempt to arrive at the truth of why these 2.3 million people either stayed home or abstained, chose existing third party candidates, or wrote in candidates. If you are among these voters, please take a few minutes to respond. You will not be asked to divulge any personal or contact information.

Our work continues…
