Gov. Palin Reiterates Obama’s Re-Election “Catastraphic for Economy” on Greta

Former Alaska Governor last night reiterated during an interview with Greta Van Susteresn from her home in Wasilla that Obama’s reelection will be a “catastrophic setback for the economy.” Gov. Palin said Obama’s reelection could result in stacking the Supreme Court with activist judges. She disagreed with Van Susteren’s theory that the current composition of the House and Senate and Obama’s win results in a “no mandate.” Gov. Palin said, “a win is a win.”

As this story goes to press, Obama is the projected winner of the 2012 Presidential Election. All of Gov. Palin’s Bold Colors candidates, except Dan Bongino are projected to won their races.

Rep. West Discusses Elections, Alinksy Tactics, Socialism on SarahNET Radio

Lt. Colonel Allen West visits The Palin Radio Update with Kevin Scholla to talk about his race in Florida as well as the battle for The White House. Hear Congressman West’s thoughts on Benghazi, the socialism and Marxism he sees in the Obama administration, and the Alinsky tactics being thrown at conservatives. Plus, West tells Kevin what he thinks of Sarah Palin. Also we get out the vote for Palin-powered candidates Ted Cruz, Dan Bongino, Deb Fischer, Jeff Flake, Richard Mourdock, Orrin Hatch, Mia Love, Paul Gosar, and Ted Yoho. All this and SarahNET Radio’s Steel Resolve, our weekly commentary from Sarah Steelman.

West Campaign Doing Well

Rep. West is running for re-election in his FL-18 Congressional seat. The American Grizzlies General Election candidate is leading by 12 points in pre-election polling and early voting. Rep. West is still welcoming volunteers and donations and invited listeners to visit his website to obtain more information. He said volunteers have traveled from neighboring states and even far-flung states like New York, Connecticut, and Alaska to help his campaign.

Obama Vulnerable in Florida

Rep. West has been supporting the Romney-Ryan campaign and said the only part of Florida Obama may carry is south Florida. But, with high unemployment, leading the nation in foreclosures, a Jewish community not happy with Obama’s relationship with Israel, and talk of Benghazi on the street, he is vulnerable in south Florida as well.

Obama’s Dangerous “Look the Other Way” Foreign Policy

Rep. West said the Benghazi scandal is the worst Presidential scandal in American history. “Watergate was just a bungled burglary,” yet Nixon had to resign. He said if Obama was a Republican, the media would have been covering Benghazi non-stop and he likely would have been impeached, even with the election looming so close. “This cannot be the new normal – that we lose an Ambassador – which has not happened since the Carter administration, a State Department worker, and two former Navy SEALS – and the President doesn’t want to answer it,” he said. Rep. West said the Obama administration lied and misled the American public about the attack being carried out over a YouTube video, meanwhile no one knows where attackers are.

“We have gone from ‘peace through strength,’ which was the Reagan maxim to ‘weakness is provocative, lead from behind,’” Rep. West said about our dangerous “look the other way” foreign policy. He said China’s blue-water navy is expanding, a Russian submarine was in the Gulf of Mexico undetected for months, and the “Middle East is catching fire.” He continued, “you either win a war or you lose it.” He said “on the 11th anniversary of September 11th for countless embassies to be attacked, have our flags ripped down and radical Islamic flags raised over our embassies is an act of war, and we don’t have the type of President to lead and show resolve.” Rep. West harkened back to Obama’s appeasement tour of the Middle East early in his term.

Gov. Palin Exceptional, True Constitutional Conservative

Scholla asked Rep. West his thoughts on former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin who several times said that the former Lt. Col. would make a good Vice Presidential candidate before Paul Ryan was picked. Gov. Palin also endorsed the current Congressman in his 2010 run.

“I think Gov. Palin is an exceptional woman. She really is indicative of a true constitutional conservative. I think that she has a voice that has to be reckoned with as we continue to grow this conservative movement in the United States of America – to restore our republic. I don’t know where she wants to take her future, but I’ll tell you what – she is a key player, and I am just very humbled and honored that she considers me in such high regard. And, I really was just floored to have been able to meet her back last year at Rolling Thunder when we got the chance to meet and take a couple of photos.”

West on the Issues

Shifting back to his own race, Rep. West said, “my opponent doesn’t stand for anything, and the only thing he is running on is to hate me.” He said we cannot continue down the path of 1.6% GDP growth and he said the right tax policies affect that. Earlier, Rep. West said ObamaCare is already hurting Florida seniors via hospitals being fined for multiple visits within 30 days and doctors deciding to no longer treat seniors. He said many regulations which strangle small businesses and community banks need to be repealed and ObamaCare needs to be repealed and replaced with a market-based alternative. He advocates developing all of our energy resources, stopping Obama’s “War on Coal,” building the Keystone XL pipeline, developing Alaskan fields and natural gas deposits, and renewables.

He said “renewables and green energy cannot be the sole focus, and that is where the crony capitalism comes in.” He said sequestration must be allowed to go through. He said we must have the military capability to deal with enemy combatant guerrillas and “high-end belligerents” like Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran.

He said today’s Democratic Party is not the party of Roosevelt and Kennedy; it’s the party of Marx and Lenin. Scholla and West discussed the Alinsky tactics and divisiveness by groups that the party uses to achieve its objectives. Rep. West said the Democrats play by Alinksy’s Rules for Radicals we need to use the same playbook against them.

Palin-Powered Candidates

Scholla went on to discuss Gov. Palin’s endorsed candidates, all of whom he interviewed. They are archived at SarahNET Radio, US for Palin, and the American Grizzlies United / Organize4Palin State System.

Sarah Steelman on the Cost of Freedom

Sarah Steelman said during her Steel Resolve segment that Braveheart is one of her “favorite movies, because it is about the cost of becoming free.”

“One of the most excruciating and emotional scenes in the movie is when the English are torturing William Wallace for leading the Scottish Rebellion, against the Scottish nobles and the English. The English hanged, racked, and disemboweled Wallace. While he is laying in the rack being stretched apart, through the agony of this horrific pain, he screams out with every breath left in him, one word. That word was, ‘freedom,’” Steelman said.

She continued,

“History proves that the desire to be free is a powerful force. The yearning to remain free is the motivating force behind this election. Many people have asked me, ‘how are we less free now?’ A government that over-regulates takes away our freedom. It’s that simple. Yes, the economy and jobs are important to all of us, but the heart of the economic argument is the case for freedom. Americans want to chase their own dreams, pursue their own happiness, whatever that may be. Freedom is about choosing your own path to achieve your goals.”

“This election offers two futures for America,” Steelman said in her closing statement.

“Gov. Romney understands that Americans want to be free and the power of government must be limited. President Obama believes the government should be bigger and more powerful and can make better decisions about your life than you. This Election Day, please remember all the generations of men and women who sacrificed their lives for America. Protect this beautiful, God-given gift to each one of us: freedom. Make your vote count. This Election Day, choose freedom.”

“I Built This, Mr. President”

Bristol Palin today posted on Bristol’s Blog:

President Obama recently said, “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

Small business owners all over America took offense at this incorrect view that government (instead of elbow grease, intelligence, and good-old-fashioned risk taking) is the bedrock of our economy.

Since the President doesn’t understand how our economy works, let’s take a moment to explain how small businesses are created… More importantly, let’s show him the businesses we’ve made and who has made them. Please send me your photos — either e-mail me (via BristolsBlog @ gmail.com, without the space!) or tweet me at this blog’s brand new Twitter account (@BristolsBlog) using the hashtag #IBuiltThis.

SarahNET Radio Interviews Mia Love for Congress in UT

This week on The Palin Update with Kevin Scholla: Spreading the Love in Utah! Congressional candidate Mia Love is Kevin’s guest! Love, the daughter of Haitian immigrants and mayor of Saratoga Springs is looking to unseat a liberal incumbent in The Beehive State. Also, Wisconsin voters come through and Governor Palin congratulates them for keeping Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch in office. Plus, Sarah Palin gets set to keynote the RightOnline conference in Las Vegas, a Greta blog gets the Gov’s attention, and remembering D-Day. It’s all on SarahNET Radio! TUNE IN NOW!

Running for Her Children’s Future

Love said she is running in Utah’s newly created Fourth Congressional District, because of our trillion-dollar deficit spending, $16 trillion in debt, and “our economy is going down the tubes.” Love is a an American Grizzlies United-supported candidate. Scholla said, that some people believe her opponent has every reason to be afraid of her. Love said she can and will win in November; her campaign is working very hard to get its message out. “We certainly are in touch with what’s going on in the district and the issues that are facing us now,” she said.

Scholla asked if UT-4 born out of redistricting “presents any special challenges.” Love answered, “You know, it’s an R+9 to an R+13…we believe that we will do well. I believe we’re trying to get out the message. The people will hear our concern about fiscal discipline, limited government, personal responsibility, and that’s what I’m laser-focused on. We have to try to do what we can to get this economy back on its feet.”

“Some national figures have voiced support for you. Has that provided a nice boost?” Scholla asked. “Well, it always helps…to get people that support you that say ‘yes we need her help to get the job done.’ Again, the thing that we’re focused on is the economy, energy independence, all the things that’s going to boost what we believe is important here in the Fourth District and in our country and that’s preserving the American Dream,” Love said.

Mia Love’s Commonalities with Gov. Palin

“Now, you know Mayor, the Palin comparisons have been pouring in. Not only are you both avid runners, mayors, moms, conservatives, I’ve even heard some go so far as to say that if you win this thing in November, a little Palin-Love 2016, but that is as far with the generic comparisons. How does that hit you being compared with Gov. Palin,” Scholla asked.

“It’s interesting, because we are…both mothers, we work where the rubber meets the road, and that’s where…we need to focus. We have some issues and we need to start letting the American people know that the hope and the change we’re looking for lies in the people, not in federal government. The thing that drives me more than anything is the fact that my children will inherit this debt. My children have all these dreams. We have to do everything we can to preserve these opportunities to reach those dreams and right now, it’s looking grim. For the first time in our history, we’re looking at our children inheriting a country that’s less prosperous than the one we had. To me, that’s completely unacceptable, so as a parent, I’m doing everything I can to preserve the future of my children, the children of the Fourth District and children all over the United States,” Love said.

Mia Love a Trail Blazer

Scholla said he operates SarahNET Radio and backs Gov. Palin because he wants to give his children a better future. “You’re already a GOP trailblazer like Palin. She was the first GOP woman on a national ticket, you’re the first black woman mayor in Utah. That’s good stuff,” Scholla said.

“Well, we’re not focused on the race or the gender issue. We’re doing everything we possibly can to just get the message out and make sure we leave polices in place that will create upward movement in the economy. I’m just doing what I can to bring real hope and real change and that is the ability to go out and work and keep a little bit of what you’ve earned. The ability to have some say in education and educating your children. The ability to bring down the price of gas and go to and from wherever you want to go….there’s still a narrow window left to make sure this country does not go down the tubes,” Love said.

“We may not focus on it, but it drives the left nuts when we have a strong woman candidate, a strong minority candidate. They want to say, ‘listen, you’re not allowed to be out of that Democrat Party!’” Scholla said.

“We want to get people to come along with us. That’s what is important. All the people who said, ‘I need the federal government to do this for me’ or ‘I need federal government to provide for my family,’ or ‘I need federal government to educate my kids’ – we need to break those shackles. We need to say, ‘you know what? Hard work, education, thrift will take you far beyond what any federal government program can ever promise,’ and that’s the example I want to lead out there,” Love said.

Pro-Life

Love has the backing of SBA List, which owns and operates Team Sarah. “I am a pro-lifer,” Love said. Scholla asked if that issue comes up in her Congressional run. “Certainly, in the race what we’re really focused on is the economy, however, my morals and what I teach in my home is we are pro-life. We value life, and we believe we should do everything we can to protect it. I mean, that’s our job. It’s an inalienable right – your right to life and property.”

Education Best Handled Locally

Scholla asked Love what she’d like to see happen with the Departments of Education and Energy. She said that under George W. Bush, and “No Child Left Behind,” the Department of Education extended its reach, and extended its budget by 69.5%, for which we got nothing. “We had teachers who have had handcuffs on and couldn’t teach in a way that’s really effective. I do believe we can do a better job,” Love said. She would rather see education handled at the municipal, county, and state levels.

Energy: Explore what we have Right Beneath our Feet

“I know Department of Energy is something Sarah Palin has a unique background on, being up in Alaska, close to some of our resources. What do you think of the situation there with the way energy issues are tackled with the current administration,” Scholla asked.

“Don’t let the President fool you. When we’re talking about drilling, it’s not new drilling. People are struggling. They’re having a hard time gassing up their cars and getting to work. Twenty three million Americans are either unemployed, under-employed, or just stopped looking for work….we need to allow the XL Pipeline to go through. We need to open up lands so we can drill. I’m not saying to not explore wind and solar. I believe we need to explore everything. I believe the private sector can do a good job doing it and if we allow the private sector to go in and explore, and be able to drill on some of these lands…I believe we would be more competitive on the global market. We would create jobs. We would not be dependent on countries that want to see us harmed. I don’t see any reason why we would not explore what we have right beneath our feet,” Love said.

Equal Opportunity for All, Not Equal Economics for All

“What about the Congressional Black Caucus? Are you going to get in there and have some fun with Lt. Col. Allen West,” Scholla asked. “Well, we’re going to get in there and we’re going to start promoting the things that we believe will heal America, and that is creating opportunity for all, not singling Americans out, making sure we are examples saying ‘you’re not going to be completely dependent on government.’” She said when money is brought into communities, that she would be against singling communities out. She said both Allen West and herself would “promote equal opportunity for all, not equal economics for all.”

“Going rogue, like Gov. Palin. You know you’re not supposed to shake up the establishment in Washington, Mayor,” Scholla said.

“My children’s lives are at stake, so I’ll shake up whatever needs to be shaken up to get this country back in order,” Love said.

Family Shaping of Conservative Values

“I know Gov. Palin often refers to her parents and what she’s learned from them. How did your family shape your conservative views,” Scholla asked.

“My parents immigrated from Haiti. They had $10 in their pockets. They worked hard for everything they had. They pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and my father was the one who looked me straight in the eye and he said, ‘Mia, your mother and I have done everything we could to get you here. You will not be a burden to society. You will give back. I’m a product of hard work. I’m a product of those conservative values, and I want to make sure when people see me, they see the future of their children. They say, ‘if I work hard, my child can have a future like this lady had,’ Love said.

Her website is love4utah.com. Her campaign is seeking raise $2 million.

Sarah Palin Radio Interviews Scientist, Father of six, for OR-4

Sarah Palin Radio

Dr. Robinson is an internationally renowned scientist and also the author of a popular home-school curriculum that he developed from home-schooling all six of his children by himself. FreedomWorks has called Dr. Robinson “the poster boy for uniting the GOP establishment and the Tea Party.” The American Spectator magazine called him “not only a scientist but also a warrior.”

Dr. Robinson is the founder of the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine, and the author of “Self-Teaching K through 12 Home-School Curriculum,” which he developed while home-schooling his six children. He ran for OR-4 in 2010 and lost to the incumbent but immediately committed to running again in 2012. Dr. Robinson is running because he Congress is messing up his family just like everyone else’s and he wants to do his part to fix the nation.

This time, Dr. Robinson has the experience and name recognition and the lessons he learned from 2010. He said an additional 5% to 6% over his prior 44% will result in a win. The incumbent has now been in office 26 years. Dr. Robinson’s strategy to overcome the incumbent advantage is to educate the voters on how he is different from his opponent. Dr. Robinson’s son, Matthew had run against the incumbent as a Democrat in a primary, because he did not want the incumbent running unopposed. Matthew got 20% of the vote.

Unifying Conservative Factions

Dr. Robinson is a registered Republican. In 2010, he had the nominations of the Constitution Party, the Libertarian Party, and the Independence Party in addition to his own. He has been endorsed by Americans for Prosperity, FreedomWorks, and various Tea Party organizations. Dr. Robinson said various groups have set aside their differences to help get him elected. He is not currently an American Grizzlies United supported candidate and has not been endorsed by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

Curzon asked him how it is possible to unite the Tea Party and the establishment. “People understand that we are all marching in the same direction. We have our differences, but the main thing is to preserve American liberty, and preserve American freedom. That is what we all have in common,” he said. Dr. Robinson said the type of unity that is going on for his Congressional race can be replicated at the national level.

Economy a Fundamental Issue

He said the most critical issue in his district is the economy. Dr. Robinson said Congressional action destroyed a once thriving logging industry. He said the economy is a fundamental issue, because if it is broken, no other issues can be addressed, for they all require money to address them.

Environmental Special Interests Doing Harm

His position on Obama’s “green policies,” is that they are misguided, actually bad for the environment and bad for his constituents. He said Oregonians cherish their environment and “we are all environmentalists.” Dr. Robinson said “it’s people trading on the name ‘environmentalism’ who are causing harm.”

He said the first thing he would do when sworn in is “go to work to do what the voters voted us in to do and that is to do everything we can to diminish the regulations, which are strangling our economy, to diminish the taxes which have been taking capital away from the private sector and to get the budget balanced and get our federal economic situation in order.” His goal is to get the national debt to start decreasing “and stop being a burden on the back of the American worker.”

Common Sense in 2012 and “Book Bombs”

He’s written, “Common Sense in 2012,” and his campaign plans to hold a “book bomb.” The book is “about our nation, our liberties, the principles we stand on, and each of the issues we stand on which are important in this election.” A “book bomb,” is similar in principle to a money bomb. It’s fund-raising activity so the book can be distributed to voters. The Robinson campaign has raised $170,000 via these “book bombs.”

He said, “it isn’t enough to run campaigns on bullet-point flyers and 30-second sound-bites. A poor candidate can hide behind good advertising. The idea is that the voters need more. They need in-depth knowledge about the candidate. And I think if you expect the voters to give you the privilege of serving them in Congress, it’s not too much to ask for them to write extensively about what they would do and why, and how they view our nation.”
