Gov. Palin a Breath of Fresh Air at Road to Majority

by Jonathan Peress, Long Island Coordinator, American Grizzlies United / Organize4Palin

I was on location at former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s speech to the Faith and Freedom Coalition. It was alive. Everyone there was enthusiastic. I felt it was alive, because she’s real, a breath of fresh air, and doesn’t talk like a politician. People are tired of hearing soundbites from a politician. I’m listening to someone who knows how to be a leader compared to these RINO’s and liberals in Congress. She’s the harshest critic out there towards Barack Hussein Obama’s Presidency compared to everyone else. Ted Cruz comes second to her.

I liked very much when Gov. Palin said the United States shouldn’t get involved in the conflicts going on in the Middle East because we do not have a real Commander in Chief. I thought it was great that she called out Obama on all of his administration’s scandals. I loved that she left no stone unturned compared to the RINO’s and Liberals. I think Gov. Palin is the kind of person the general public wants.

Bristol Palin to Kick Off “Mother of All Wife Swaps”

Bristol and Willow Palin and Joan and Melissa Rivers are kicking off what ABC calls the “Mother of All Wife Swaps,” though none of the four are wives. Melissa Rivers moved in with the Palins, while Bristol moved in with Joan Rivers.

In an Access Hollywood interview, Joan Rivers described Bristol as “very pretty, shy, closeted….very nice, not a mean bone in her body.” Bristol and Joan Rivers and Willow and Melissa Rivers bonded on the show, though Joan Rivers still aparrently has no love for Bristol’s mom, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. In the Access Hollywood interview she said Bristol and Willow live in fear of “making a wrong step,” because their mother “is so out there and opinionated.” It is only logical that children of any political figure would have at least some concern about “making a wrong step,” so Rivers’ statement is not an indictment of Gov. Palin despite being presented as such.

Bristol-Palin-Joan-Rivers-2

Joan Rivers lamented that the eldest Palin daughters had not been to Europe or a Broadway musical. In 2010, Rivers piled on with the blood libelers blaming Gov. Palin for the Gabby Giffords shooting, and calling Gov. Palin, “stupid” and a “threat.”

Celebrity Wife Swap could have moderated some of Rivers’ anti-Palin sentiment and it puts the Palin family before a new mass market audience where they need to be seen and liked.

The show premieres Sunday, June 23 2000 / 8 PM Eastern; 1900 / 7 PM Central.

SarahNET Radio: Former Miss CO Honored to intro Gov. Palin at Terri’s Day

Introducing former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin at Terri’s Day was an honor Deborah Flora said in the opening minutes of her interview on the Palin Update with Kevin Scholla. “The Schindlers turned tragedy into purpose.” She said Gov. Palin read everyone’s bio and was extremely gracious toward her in a pre-speech meeting. Gov. Palin’s questions to Flora keyed into items she had read on the bio sheet. “It’s really indicative of who she is, and living a life of what she values, which is passion.” Flora said Gov. Palin went above and beyond in preparing for the Schiavo event.

Flora said pageants like Miss America promote intelligence as well as beauty. She said they foster competition, which is “important to see what you are good at.” Flora does not approve of pageants for children.

Prior to Miss America, Flora a self-admitted tomboy was giving speeches to young women about their self-worth. Her Miss Colorado crown gave her a larger platform from which to deliver that message.

American Women Media, which Flora co-founded with Tamra Colbert exist to re-connect women’s values, entrepreneurship, and child-raising with the current political scene. She said all women across the political spectrum have a sense that something is broken in our system.

Flora is against left-wing feminism that holds women as being exactly equal to men. She said there are differences but both genders should be equally valued. She said the archetype of the bumbling man rescued by a woman has been culturally damaging.

“Leadership is being for an idea greater than oneself not for oneself.” Gov. Palin exemplifies leadership she said.

Flora and her husband – an 82nd Airborne veteran – directed Lt. Dan Band: For the Common Good”. The movie chronicles the journey of Academy Award nominated Gary Sinise honoring military and first responders. The film features Jon Voight, Robert Duvall, and Raquel Welch. A portion of the proceeds go to military charities.

On leaving conservative comfort zones and infiltrating pop culture as Gov. Palin said we should, Flora quoted Plato, “let me write the songs of a nation, and I care not who writes its laws.” She said “politics truly are downstream of culture.” Flora said Lt. Dan Band is a Hero’s journey, reflecting conservative values such as forging one’s own way and destiny.

Flora was an Air Force brat, her father being a retired Lieutenant Colonel.

Steel Resolve: Big Government Gone Wild

Sarah Steelman spoke about the latest revelations that the federal government is tracking every phone call and email everyone sends. “But not to worry – they’re not listening in.” She said Republicans are just as culpable as Democrats in allowing the government to grow far beyond its Constitutional limits, invading our privacy, stripping our civil liberties and freedoms in the name of safety. Terrorists win, she said.

Twitchy: Sarah Palin convenes liberty book club to support conservative soldier

Twitchy-logo-us-politics

As the Palinista community is well-aware, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin yesterday posted a Facebook Status in support of Master Sgt. Nathan Sommers, who was told “his choice of reading materials offends other members of his unit.” So, what was this “offensive” reading material? The US Army Band member was backstage reading books by David Limbaugh and Mark Levin. Gov. Palin followed her first Status immediately by two more Facebook Statuses inviting readers to post photos of themselves posing with liberty-loving books. One showed Gov. Palin with a copy of Mark Levin’s Liberty vs. Tyranny and the final Status of the trio showed a copy of Levin’s Ameritopia.

Palinistas rose to the call throughout the afternoon on Twitter and Facebook, with Twitchy doing a news story on the Twitter posts, including two Tweets by US for Palin publisher, Ron Devito. The stack consisted of Tweets from big names like Mark Levin and Jedediah Bila to ordinary conservatives who answered Gov. Palin’s call.

A hashtag #ShowYourSupportForLiberty was born to support this effort on Twitter.

Gov. Palin to Republic: Get off Butt to Make a Buck

Video H/T Josh Painter, SPJ.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin advised the Graduating class of Republic High School to “get off your butt and make a buck.” A dollar was taped under each seat to drive the point home, according to Katie Steiner, a reporter for KHQ Local who is on location.

“This town is special. This town might be small, but it is big on the values that built this great country. Don’t forget your roots. Your town exemplifies what makes this country great and I am here to thank you for it!” Gov. Palin said.

She said the “heart of America is good small towns like this one” and called on veterans to stand so they could be honored.

“Teflon Warrior”, a commenter on Conservatives4Palin filed this on-location dispatch – H/T Laura Del Pesce, The Teacher’s Daughter…A Tribute to Sarah Palin:

I was there and it was an event I don’t think anyone there will forget. She started with the dollar under the seat, which went over really great. Then she talked about how some west Washington reporters were trying to make a small town in Washington feel bad about themselves. She then told a story of a teacher who was trying to get to Alaska to be reunited with his family, his old car broke down and as he dropped off his car he didn’t know how much it was going to cost and he was worried. He went to a nearby diner where he talked to all the nice folks there. When they told him his car was fixed he was worried that he wouldn’t be able to pay the bill. The mechanic told him he would only take $10. Then she said, you know that’s the value of small town America. That teacher was my dad and those nice people were the people of Republic!

The crowd just erupted!!

Then she continued, “So when I got a request from Republic to come speak at this graduation, you bet I agreed!”
Another eruption of applause.

I think everyone was as surprised as I was! Afterwards my daughters and I got a chance to talk to both her and Todd and take pictures, she was as gracious as always and took time for anyone that came up. I told her that she nailed it and I got a big smile. There’s no stopping our Sarah Palin when she’s on a roll!

Kevin Scholla provided this on-location dispatch from LoriAnn Lewis:

Sarah Palin has referred to small town America as “the soul of our country”. In typical Palin fashion, the former Alaska Governor once again didn’t just talk the talk, but walked the walk, speaking to a small graduating class of high school seniors in the state of Washington.

The seniors at Republic High School number only 27, but they are a mighty bunch. In fact, they took it upon themselves to secure Governor Palin as their commencement speaker. The senior class began campaigning for Palin to deliver graduation day remarks months ago. Class President Tyler Weyer led the charge, organizing a letter writing and social media campaign hoping Palin would take notice. Mission accomplished.

Palin’s speech included confirmation of what patriots in this country already know. “Your town exemplifies what makes this country great,” Palin said. “I am here to thank you for it.”

“This town is special,” said Palin. “This town might be small, but it is big on the values that built this great country.”

Students smiled and hung on every word. Many were just beaming when their commencement speaker who they worked so diligently to tab, delivered a simple message. “Don’t forget your roots,” Palin said. Simple but poignant. Governor Palin can appreciate big time opportunities after living a small town life.

“The heart of America is good in small towns just like this one,” Palin told the class. Then she provided some visual aid to teach the Republic Tigers a lesson as they prepare to claw their way through the real world.

A single dollar was taped under each graduating senior’s seat. After each student stood up and found their bill, the Mama Grizzly delivered a powerful message. “You’ve got to get off your butt to make a buck,” Palin said. “Take time to look for it.”

Governor Palin covered all of her personal expenses for the Republic speech and she even gave each senior a gift bag. Along with the small graduating class, hundreds of others showed up to hear Governor Palin’s comments.

Before Sarah Palin’s speech this weekend, the highlights for tiny Republic included some success in high school sports and a visit from the Washington Attorney General, but that’s been about it. Now, they’ll have a hard time ever topping this incredible day.

As for the young man who started the ball rolling on all of this, he couldn’t be happier. “When she ran for Vice President in 2008, I was personally blown away,” Weyer said. “She came from a small town like Republic, was able to rise up and become governor of a state and was able to run for Vice President. That’s not an everyday job.” Weyer, who plans to study political science in college, tells SarahNET Radio there is one top reason why she was the perfect speaker for Republic. “I truly believe she feels in her heart what every ordinary American feels and she speaks to issues that affect everyone.”

Palin proved that yet again on Saturday

Tyler Weyer made the local TV station with his story about how he secured Gov. Palin as the Republic High School Commencement Address speaker. Kevin Scholla interviewed Tyler Weyer last week.
