Mr.L: Gun Control Another Example of Obamacrat’s War on Women

“During the 2012 election, we heard liberals and Democrats accuse the Republican Party of engaging in a so-called war on women. A lot of people believe that is what helped Obama get the female vote. It’s total nonsense and it’s totally ginned up, and in fact, it’s more like the other way around,” Mr. L said after he spoke briefly on gun control. He continued, “it’s more like the Democrats have a war on women.” Mr. L said the Romney campaign was inept in handing this issue and this is why we have a war between Rove and and the Palinistas.

About the war on women and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, Mr. L said:

“You can say what you want to say about conservatives like Sarah Palin, but the difference between Sarah Palin – and there are many differences between people like Sarah Palin and people like Romney and people like the rest of the Republican establishment – is that Sarah Palin knows who’s dealing with on the other side. She knows who these people are. They’re not Democrats from the 1940s. She’s lived through the Democrats’ war on women and it was a war on her, and it still goes on. Any prominent female Republican like Sarah Palin who is effective has to be destroyed. Any effective, Republican female conservative – when they come out and say something their ideology and belief system and against a figure like Barack Obama, it is met with knee-jerk hatred.

They want her to die….they want her to be gang-raped before she’s killed and after all of that she has to burn in hell for all eternity. That is what happens when she comes out, makes one statement, makes one move. It is because she is effective. It is also because she knows who it is she is dealing with on the other side and she knows how to call them out and she’s not afraid….all they’re interested in is destroying anybody on our side….Sarah Palin is an example – one of the examples of the Democrat war on women. And…there are others.”

He asked how many of the 1.3 million abortions are girls. Unemployment among white women has risen. “Women are paid less than men in Obama’s Lie House,” he said. Women are no longer eligible for breast cancer screenings between the ages of 40 and 49. But, in 2008, 13.7% of all women’s deaths were attributable to breast cancer.

In his synopsis, Mr. L wrote:

Sarah Palin is a prime example of the Democrat’s ability to wage war on women. They waged a war on her in 2008 and they continue that war today. Why? Because she’s effective and unafraid. Another prime example of the Democrat’s war on women is gun control and the infringement on Second amendment rights. Where are the elected officials on the right to exploit Colorado state representative Joe Salazar’s absurd comments? When are the elected officials on the right going to publicly state the Democrats historically have sided with the criminal and not the law abiding citizen? When will the liberal Obamacrats get called out for their war on women that has going on for decades in this country? To the red diapers at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs: I prefer the perp peeing and puking on himself when he sees the damsel pull the Glock from her purse.

American Grizzlies Launches Survey of Non-Romney Voters

When addressing Young Americans for Freedom in 1975, former President Ronald Wilson Reagan said,

“Some have suggested that the 1974 election – the disastrous results – were an indictment of what we stand for. Well, may I suggest that the meaning of the last election will not be found among those who voted. It will be found in my polling those who stayed home – the biggest non-voter bloc in our nation’s history. And why did they stay home?”

It is well-known that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan got 2.3 million less votes than John McCain and Sarah Palin did in 2008. Pundits have speculated about the reasons why, but there is no hard data to support their assertions.

This survey is an attempt to arrive at the truth of why these 2.3 million people either stayed home or abstained, chose existing third party candidates, or wrote in candidates. If you are among these voters, please take a few minutes to respond. You will not be asked to divulge any personal or contact information.

SarahNET Radio Interviews ‘Cigar Marine’ Popaditch on Congressional Run

Nick Popaditch visits The Palin Radio Update with Kevin Scholla! Sergeant Popaditch gained fame as the ‘Cigar Marine’, fought bravely in the battle for Fallujah, and ultimately suffered an injury that has left him with one eye. Now as he’s looking to fight for us in a different way he runs for Congress in California. Also, Governor Palin weighs in on our soaring gas prices, the latest Romney-Obama debate, and Reverend Billy Graham. Plus, SarahNET Radio‘s Steel Resolve, our weekly commentary from Sarah Steelman.

Baghdad to Fallujah…

Nick Popaditch is running for Congress in California’s 53rd Congressional District. He is an American Grizzlies United General Election Candidate. Popaditch enlisted as a Marine at age 18, served six years, returned to civilian life as a corrections officer, then re-enlisted and was sent to Iraq during Operation Desert Storm. His unit toppled the statue of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad. A year later, Popaditch lost one eye after being hit in the head by a rocket-propelled grenade during the first battle of Fallujah. Military doctors were able to save his other eye.

Citizen Statesman…

He has since gone back to school and written books. Popaditch said he is running to “restore and retain prosperity and freedom.” He said a person serving in elective office should ask four questions: “is it the will of the people? Is it constitutional? Is it legal? Is it ethical?” If the proposed action meets all four criteria, it should be executed. He said the federal government “is the tip of the spear” in keeping us free and that US Representatives are the local link to the federal government. Popaditch said we are seeing a renaissance of the “citizen statesman” – a private citizen who puts his or her life on hold, serves in office, then returns to civilian life. Scholla noted that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has endorsed people from all walks of life including soldiers, dentists, veterinarians, and business owners.

Reagan-Conservative Principles…

Popaditch’s military doctrine is simple: fight for victory or withdraw immediately. He blasted the 10% military cuts and sequestration as irresponsible and said that career soldiers who have served over 10 years in combat are being pink-slipped and sent home so retirement benefits do not have to be paid. He lauded Mitt Romney’s proposed policy of taking counsel from the Joint Chiefs of staff. Popaditch said a good leader delegates, but even having never served knows when his or her reports are not doing the job and fires them if need be.

Popaditch said private sector growth is the engine that creates jobs and thrice repeated the phrase, “private sector growth” to drive the point home. He said the Keystone XL pipeline should be opened, drilling should resume in the Gulf and new drilling should take place. Popaditch is a strong believer in energy independence. He said ObamaCare should be repealed, along with other irresponsible legislation, and over-burdening regulations. Popaditch said it’s long time for politicians to take responsibility for their own actions and stop blaming lobbyists who do not create legislation. “Dirty government is dirty government,” he said. “The engine works. It’s the oil that needs to be changed.”

Steel Resolve: Hang Together or Hang Separately

In this week’s “Steel Resolve” segment, former US Senate candidate for Missouri, Sarah Steelman opened with Benjamin Franklin’s quote on unity: “We must indeed all hang together, or we will indeed all hang separately.” She spoke about Obama’s “us against them” mentality, race- and gender-baiting, and class warfare. She said Obama is a divisive force in our nation whose solution to our economic crisis is to spend more and tax the wealthy to pay for it. She said government’s role “is not to make all people equal but to ensure that all people are treated equally under the law.”

SarahNET Radio Interviews Vacaville, CA City Council Candidate

Jennifer Goode is the guest on The Palin Update with Kevin Scholla! Sarah Palin has stressed the importance of quality candidates on the local level and Goode is exactly that. She’s running for council in Vacaville, California and you will be impressed with this energetic, determined candidate. Also, Governor Palin attends another Dancing With The Stars performance in support of Bristol and promotes Our Sarah: Made In Alaska. Plus, Palin’s analysis on Mitt Romney’s decisive debate win, more Eric Holder controversy, and a potential Obama credit card scandal.

Local Races Closest to Electorate

Goode is an AGU General Election candidate. She said former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is correct: voters should pay close attention to local races, because these offices are the closest to the electorate. She said when a decision is made at the local level, constituents feel the effect of it within six months of it being voted on. Local races, unfortunately tend to be “so overlooked,” Goode said. She is running to “bring a fresh voice” to the Vacaville City Council, not to rubber-stamp decisions. She intends to act as a check and balance.

About Vacaville

Vacaville began as a small community 35 miles west of Sacramento and was developed in the middle of an orchard. The city now has a population of over 100,000 and has the “exact same trouble” as California’s larger cities. The state had abolished redevelopment plans for cities, cutting funding and forcing cities to scramble and cut vital services. Goode said, her goal is for Vacaville to maintain its sovereignty, identity, and small town feel all of which are eroding. She also wants to keep the state’s hands out of city funds. She said Vacaville is one of the top 100 places to live in California and she wants to maintain the city as such or improve further on it.

Incumbent to Goode: “I’ll Gut Your Campaign!”

Goode is running against two incumbents, one of whom threatened to “gut” her campaign. She said the incumbents are establishment types beholden to special interests. Lobbying, crony capitalism, and cutthroat politics very much exist at the local level just as they do at the state and national levels.

Earning Her Way

Goode said she has held jobs and had to answer to a boss, has lived paycheck-to-paycheck, been laid off due to downsizing and had to find new jobs and that her parents own and operate a small business. She said she does not want to see Vacaville end up filing for bankruptcy like other cities in California have because they’ve spent money they did not have on programs they could not afford. Goode pledged to be honest, open, and transparent in everything she does if she is elected to serve on the city council.

Fight Like a Girl

Goode said she loves Gov. Palin’s call to “fight like a girl,” which was said at her famous “Game On” speech in Madison, Wisconsin on April 16, 2011. Goode said women are often overlooked, but can be very tough. She described Gov. Palin as a positive role model who started her political career at the local level and “earned her way up,” battling special interests along the way.

Good Ideas from the Outside

She moved to Vacaville in 2003, but was born and raised in Illinois. Goode’s father worked for Caterpillar as his primary job, and her mother stayed home to take care of the family. Goodes’ father usually worked two or even three jobs to make ends meet. She said the Vacaville City Council is mostly comprised of people who have been born and raised in Vacaville their entire lives and “sometimes, good ideas can come from the outside.” She said the lessons she learned in life will serve her well as a councilwoman and said she would be impartial, not answering to a special interest, but doing what is right for the city.

Budget

She said Vacaville’s most important issue is the budget, because the state abolished redevelopment funds, leaving a $4 million deficit. The monies were to be used for revitalizing the city. Goode said, cities often used redevelopment funds “as a giant slush fund,” and not for their intended purpose. The funds often went to salaries, departments, and staff time. She said the Vacaville must get its budget back in line and learn to live within its means, and spend only what is brought in for legitimate government functions.

Public Safety

She said the second most important issue is public safety with the layoff of police officers, firefighters, and EMS. She said, while the first responders are professionals who do their day-to-day work well, a disaster or man-made event could stretch the public safety resources thin and create a liability for the city. She said waste needs to be identified in other others and public safety funds rebuilt to an acceptable level.

Transparency

The third most important issue, according to Goode is bringing transparency to local government. Council meetings are generally held on Tuesday nights at 7 PM. She wants to move them to two Saturdays per month in a park setting where people are invited to discuss issues that concern them. Goode said the current meetings tend to reflect the voices of special interests.

Vacaville Police Officers Association Endorsement

Goode is proud to have received the endorsement of the Vacaville Police Officers Association. She supports the Second Amendment, but noted not everyone has a gun in the house or wants to keep one. Goode said she wants to know when someone calls 911, the response will be immediate.

To Volunteer or Donate

Goode needs volunteers to phone bank, walk precincts, work in the office, install signs, and attend events. Her campaign also needs funding. She said the high cost of campaigning keeps a lot of good people out and the party structure tends to ignore the local races.
