Gov. Palin a Breath of Fresh Air at Road to Majority

by Jonathan Peress, Long Island Coordinator, American Grizzlies United / Organize4Palin

I was on location at former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s speech to the Faith and Freedom Coalition. It was alive. Everyone there was enthusiastic. I felt it was alive, because she’s real, a breath of fresh air, and doesn’t talk like a politician. People are tired of hearing soundbites from a politician. I’m listening to someone who knows how to be a leader compared to these RINO’s and liberals in Congress. She’s the harshest critic out there towards Barack Hussein Obama’s Presidency compared to everyone else. Ted Cruz comes second to her.

I liked very much when Gov. Palin said the United States shouldn’t get involved in the conflicts going on in the Middle East because we do not have a real Commander in Chief. I thought it was great that she called out Obama on all of his administration’s scandals. I loved that she left no stone unturned compared to the RINO’s and Liberals. I think Gov. Palin is the kind of person the general public wants.

SarahNET Radio: Former Miss CO Honored to intro Gov. Palin at Terri’s Day

Introducing former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin at Terri’s Day was an honor Deborah Flora said in the opening minutes of her interview on the Palin Update with Kevin Scholla. “The Schindlers turned tragedy into purpose.” She said Gov. Palin read everyone’s bio and was extremely gracious toward her in a pre-speech meeting. Gov. Palin’s questions to Flora keyed into items she had read on the bio sheet. “It’s really indicative of who she is, and living a life of what she values, which is passion.” Flora said Gov. Palin went above and beyond in preparing for the Schiavo event.

Flora said pageants like Miss America promote intelligence as well as beauty. She said they foster competition, which is “important to see what you are good at.” Flora does not approve of pageants for children.

Prior to Miss America, Flora a self-admitted tomboy was giving speeches to young women about their self-worth. Her Miss Colorado crown gave her a larger platform from which to deliver that message.

American Women Media, which Flora co-founded with Tamra Colbert exist to re-connect women’s values, entrepreneurship, and child-raising with the current political scene. She said all women across the political spectrum have a sense that something is broken in our system.

Flora is against left-wing feminism that holds women as being exactly equal to men. She said there are differences but both genders should be equally valued. She said the archetype of the bumbling man rescued by a woman has been culturally damaging.

“Leadership is being for an idea greater than oneself not for oneself.” Gov. Palin exemplifies leadership she said.

Flora and her husband – an 82nd Airborne veteran – directed Lt. Dan Band: For the Common Good”. The movie chronicles the journey of Academy Award nominated Gary Sinise honoring military and first responders. The film features Jon Voight, Robert Duvall, and Raquel Welch. A portion of the proceeds go to military charities.

On leaving conservative comfort zones and infiltrating pop culture as Gov. Palin said we should, Flora quoted Plato, “let me write the songs of a nation, and I care not who writes its laws.” She said “politics truly are downstream of culture.” Flora said Lt. Dan Band is a Hero’s journey, reflecting conservative values such as forging one’s own way and destiny.

Flora was an Air Force brat, her father being a retired Lieutenant Colonel.

Steel Resolve: Big Government Gone Wild

Sarah Steelman spoke about the latest revelations that the federal government is tracking every phone call and email everyone sends. “But not to worry – they’re not listening in.” She said Republicans are just as culpable as Democrats in allowing the government to grow far beyond its Constitutional limits, invading our privacy, stripping our civil liberties and freedoms in the name of safety. Terrorists win, she said.

Gov. Palin: Boot-stomping Gov’t: “Our Obtuseness = Strength”

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

Boot-stomping govt claims citizen spying never happened then pouts Congress knew all along; Congress denies. Our obtuseness = their strength…

Obama’s Bat Cave: $1.9 Billion Data Center Set to Open In October

The personal data and private online conversations that the National Security Administration is accused of mining could be stashed in a one million square-foot, $1.9 billion facility in the Utah Valley.

There is no question that the big winners from last week were George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, two men vilified for years by the left, the media, and Barack Obama as eager to use the War on Terror as an excuse to violate the Constitutional rights of everyday Americans. Obama ran for president as the anti-Bush in many respects, but especially on the issue of surveillance and snooping.

SarahPAC: Only Limited Gov’t Can Ensure Liberty

Ed. Note: The following letters were sent via Postal Mail by SarahPAC. Every attempt has been made to reproduce them as faithfully as possible to their original formatting.

Though not requested in these letters and not authorized by SarahPAC, now is a good time to bundle a small-donor money bomb with this. Imagine if half of the over 3.5 million supporters on Gov. Palin’s Facebook page donated just $2. SarahPAC would raise $3.5 million minus transaction fees. If half these supporters donated just $5, SarahPAC could have $8.75 million. With $10 donations, half of the supporters on Gov. Palin’s Facebook wall could generate $17.5 million for SarahPAC. Though this fund-raising letter is geared toward mid-range donors, donations of any amount will help SarahPAC and make a big difference.

SarahPAC-North-Star

Dear [Donor],

As one of the strongest and most generous supporters of SarahPAC, I wanted to make sure you saw this recent message from Gov. Palin.

She talks about the recent IRS scandal and notes that “These Obama administration scandals are a sad and stark reminder that only limited government can ensure liberty.”

I hope you’ll take a couple of minutes to read her comments and then consider continuing your support for Gov. Palin and SarahPAC as we head full-force into this new election cycle.

[Donor], as you know, our goal at SarahPAC has always been to help elect a new generation of commonsense conservatives from the grassroots.

We want to elect leaders who won’t back down and fall apart under pressure from the establishment and liberal media.

Men and women with strong convictions, strong values and strong messages.

But piece by piece, brick by brick, little by little, we’re putting leaders in place who understand the real problems and are dedicated to getting America back to the vision of our founders.

Back to freedom and prosperity and limited government.

And that’s why I’m so hopeful you’ll continue to support Governor Palin and our SarahPAC team as we head toward the crucial 2014 mid-term election.

Because together we can continue to make a huge difference for this country, [Donor].

The Left wants to elect people who will help Barack Obama “fundamentally transform America.”

We want to elect people who will “fundamentally transform the way Washington does business.”

Leaders who will put:

*** real people over petty politics

*** strong principles over empty promises

*** and foundational ideals over self interests

Will you continue to help us, [Donor]?

Can I count on you to continue standing with Governor Palin and SarahPAC?

Will you continue your support for SarahPAC tOday by sending a contribution of $100, $150, or even $200?

Whether $100, $150, $200, or any other amount, every dollar you can send will make a difference as Governor Palin and our entire SarahPAC team work to elect a new generation of conservative leaders.

Thanks in advance for your generosity and faithfulness.

Sincerely,

Tim Crawford Signature

P.S. Sarah’s message about the IRS scandal is enclosed. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did. Many thanks and God bless!

sarah-palin-stationery

As more information about the IRS scandal trickles out daily, the White House’s involvement is becoming clearer.

Those of us who’ve been warning about the demise of freedom with Barack Obama’s efforts to “fundamentally transform” our great nation are about to witness some sad vindication.

Will awakened Americans finally join us in saying “enough is enough”?

The president would like us to believe that he only learned about the IRS corruption from watching the news.

But we recently learned that the White House was actively working with the IRS on how to roll out the story of this scandal.

So, Mr. President, how can you have your staff work on the roll out of the biggest controversy since Watergate, and yet claim that you only heard about it by watching the news with the rest of us?

For the President to deny any knowledge of what was brewing and to claim to know nothing about the Benghazi cover-up or anything about anything White House-related lately, he’s either a liar or a hugely incompetent CEO. You decide.

Yesterday, we also learned that the top IRS official involved in the targeting scandal is planning on pleading the Fifth during her Congressional hearings.

That’s keen – she’ll be able to enjoy her Fifth Amendment rights in a hearing about how her intimidating organization denied Americans the ability to fully exercise their First Amendment rights.

Keep in mind that the IRS considers you guilty until proven innocent when they audit you. The Fifth Amendment doesn’t apply.

This scandal is not just about the IRS targeting Americans to deny them tax-except status or subjecting them to harassing retaliatory audits.

The IRS also leaked to leftwing reporters the confidential application information submitted by conservative groups.

The IRS claims that their leaking of information was “inadvertent and unintentional disclosures by the employees involved.”

They at first blamed the entire IRS scandal on a couple of employees who “went rogue,” but we soon found out that this was just more malarkey corning from the president’s spokesman.

But even if these were “inadvertent and unintentional disclosures,” is that supposed to make us feel better?

With the IRS running Obamacare, what are the chances that our confidential information and medical records will “inadvertently” and “unintentionally” be disclosed?

Please remember that some of us warned America about the dangers of having the IRS play such a big role in the administration of Obamacare. We were laughed at and mocked relentlessly back then. It sure doesn’t seem funny now, does it?

This IRS scandal is especially terrible because Americans live in fear of the IRS like no other entity because this monstrous bureaucracy has the power to take your hard-earned money.

Your wages are the sum of your labors; hence, the IRS has the power to steal the fruits of your labors.

Average Americans live in fear of making an error on their tax returns that could cost them massive amounts of money, plus their reputation and good name. If a small business makes a mistake, the IRS can shut them down and send them to jail.

The IRS has always been the face of intimidating and controlling big government. Now it’s the face of corrupt big government that actively attacks the people it is supposed to serve. This isn’t the change America was hoping for, Mr. President, but it certainly is transformative.

Average everyday Americans like my dad and his non-political buddies are outraged by this IRS scandal, perhaps more so than all the other White House fiascos that are making the radical Left’s intentions crystal clear.

It’s because this IRS cluster hits close to home for everyone. It’s tangible proof of how a corrupt government can intimidate and target a person’s record, reputation, and life, and make them feel helpless.

These Obama administration scandals are a sad and stark reminder that only limited government can ensure liberty. At our core, we Americans just want to be left alone to live freely, peacefully, and productively.

Last year the Obama campaign told us that government is something we all “belong” to.

I guess they’re right because when the government is powerful enough to target, intimidate, and harass us, we do “belong” to them. The real question is: Will we stand for this?

These atrocious government actions are bigger, uglier, and much more dangerous than “a few rogue employees.” It’s time for all Americans to stand together and join in the growing outraged chorus that looks at our out-of-control government and says, “Enough is enough!”

Gov. Palin: We’re in for a helluva’ ride, America.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

We're in for a helluva' ride, America. Obama just named Susan Rice as his National Security Adviser and nominated Samantha Power to replace Rice as our U.N. ambassador. Samantha Power is married to Cass Sunstein, the very, very strange Obama pick for an early "czar" position who wowed us with his numerous bizarre claims including the wacko belief that animals should have the right to sue in court, that hunting should be banned as genocide, and that pet ownership is akin to “slavery.” But Mrs. Cass Sunstein’s character judgment in choosing her life partner is the least of America's worries. Information about Obama's new picks will be revealed in coming days. Pay attention to who they are; what they stand for; and what their records, associations, and statements reveal about them and their intentions. Especially consider Obama's chosen ones as evidence of his skewed thinking as he "fundamentally transforms" our great nation.

Here's just a taste, as summarized by The Daily Caller:

"In 2002, President Barack Obama’s new nominee to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power, proposed imposing a peace deal on Israelis and Palestinians militarily, even if such a policy alienated wealthy pro-Israel American Jews. 'I actually think in the Palestine-Israeli situation there is an abundance of information, and what we don’t need is some kind of early warning mechanism there,' Power said in an interview. 'What we need is a willingness to actually put something on the line in sort of helping the situation. And putting something on the line might mean alienating a domestic constituency of tremendous political and financial import,' she added laughing, clearly referring to American Jews and suggesting they were a great obstacle to moving toward peace between Israelis and Palestinians.”

"Isn't that lovely. Not only is she condescending toward American Jews, but her analysis also happens to be utterly wrong. The failure to achieve peace in the Middle East is not because wealthy American Jews have somehow manipulated America's leaders into thwarting peace, but rather because Palestinian leaders have consistently rejected generous Israeli peace offers for a state of their own. In fact, the wealthy American Jews that Power haughtily dismisses in the interview as obstacles to peace are very often staunch advocates of a two state solution. On another note, Power also once compared actions abroad to those of Nazi Germany. As the Washington Examiner's Philip Klein wryly noted on Twitter, 'Samantha Power is the UN Ambassador, who is supposed to represent US interests at the UN?'"

http://dailycaller.com/2013/06/06/thedc-morning-samantha-power-is-unsuited-for-the-job/

And these articles by TheBlaze, Breitbart.com, and Townhall should help wake up Obama supporters who naively and blindly (despite failure after failure and scandal after scandal) continue to give him the benefit of the doubt:

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/06/05/who-exactly-is-samantha-power-obamas-new-u-n-ambassador-pick-everything-you-need-to-know/

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2013/06/05/a-look-at-obamas-new-un-ambassador-radical-samantha-power-n1613587

Nah, America… I shouldn't have prefaced this post with a warning to hang on because "we're in for a helluva' ride." Sorry. That was crass and inaccurate. I should have just said about Obama's judgment and unchecked power, "America, we are so screwed."

J.W. Cortes on SarahNET Radio: Overwhelming Joy in Service to Others

He may be a US Marine and NY Police Department veteran, but J.W. Cortes agreed with Todd Palin that the toughest and most rewarding job in the world is being a dad. During his interview on the Palin Update with Kevin Scholla, Cortes said when he first met Todd, he did not know what to expect. Todd is not a “muscular looking pretty boy,” like some of the other celebrities on Stars Earn Stripes were. Cortes said he knew Todd was “my kind of guy” when Todd related how he pressed on in 2,000-mile Iron Dog race with a broken arm. Had Todd sought treatment on the spot, both he and his partner would have been out of the race.

Scholla said Todd has been generous with his time on the show and with other projects. Cortes said his friendship with Todd built over a year. He noticed Todd’s son Track – who had been deployed to Afghanistan – driving him to and from the set and related that his own son is autistic.

Cortes said his number one objective in the Combat Fishing Tournament was to meet and spend time with veterans. His second objective was to catch “a friggin’ halibut.” He achieved both objectives and caught an octopus along with several rock fish.

Cortes said he would like to see Combat Fishing catch on in coastal cities along the Eastern Seaboard. Inshore and from the surf, the New York area is known for striped bass, bluefish, fluke, flounder, and weakfish. Party and charter boats go off-shore for cod, mackerel, blackfish, sea bass, and tuna. He said the Combat Fishing Tournmament captains donated their boat space, fuel, and crew time “all with a smile.”

Cortes said in 1993, he had reached a crossroads and “was involved in the wrong thing”s back in his native New York. He joined the Marines, which he said saved his life. His proudest moment was putting his training to use in Iraq and it carried him through to his police career.

About Chris Kyle, Cortes described him as a humble, gentle, compassionate man who loved his fellow veterans and his children. Kyle did not know Cortes at all like everyone else on Stars Earn Stripes, but the men quickly became close friends. Kyle never questioned or belittled anyone’s service and was always re-assuring.

Overwhelming Joy in Serving Others

Cortes said he finds such joy in service to others that it is overwhelming. He does not see it as a job. In addition to his work with Autism Speaks, Cortes offers self-defense classes for women. He was raised in a low income family in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. He said, “I want to do more [service to others], bigger, and more frequently.”

He plans to pursue his acting career with the same intensity as he did his Marine Corps and NYPD work. Cortes regards entertainment as public service – helping people escape by riding along with a character.

Steel Resolve: “Slow Play” D.C.’s Biggest Problem?

Sarah Steelman said she was listening to golfers on her morning drive explain how “slow play” is the “world’s biggest problem” for them because it causes them to lose money. Steelman said the Obama administration has enthusiastically embraced “slow play” as a tool to make people forget about its many scandals. Thus, “slow play” could be one of Washington, D.C.’s biggest problems.
